Along the Way
On Life's journey
what do I see?
Rain showers and
rainbows shining down on me.
Raindrops that
magnify the sun
and sparkling with colors
bright and free.
Sunny meadows of
wildflowers leave
a scent so
fresh and pure.
Puppies and kittens
and horses running
beautiful and free
along the shore.
The rivers and oceans
and even the seas
the dolphins and porpoises
jumping high, far and free.
The mountains are snow-capped
beautiful to see
stretching high to the heavens
the elk and moose just be.
This is what hides the pain
of the cruel philosophies
while on Life's journey
this beauty that I see.
